Tuma's Books is a Black, First Generation, Gambian-American, Muslim-owned bookstore based in New York City.

Our mission is to help everyone diversify their reading with books that will:

  • validate different identities,
  • teach us about ourselves and others,
  • expand our perspectives, and
  • leave us in awe of the beauty of diverse humanity.
