Page Street Kids was nice enough to send me a copy of the picture book, When an Elephant Hears No by Dazzle Ng and illustrated by Estrela Lourenço. Through the POV of a (not so) small elephant who throws a tantrum when Mama Elephant says "no," it's such a fun read (with super adorable illustrations—like seriously, I need an Elephant plushie) to understand that "no" can mean MANY things. It can mean, "be careful" or "not yet" or "I don't like this, or "this isn't right." It teaches important messages about respecting boundaries, understanding perspectives, having patience, and standing up for what's right.
