Tuma’s Books is a Black, Gambian-American, Muslim-owned independent bookstore dedicated to supporting and promoting BIPOC authors and authors of color across all genres. We collaborate with writers who are looking for more than shelf space—authors who want intentional bookstore partnerships, community-centered promotion, and meaningful reader engagement.
As one of the few bookstores in the U.S. explicitly centered on BIPOC authors year-round, Tuma’s Books exists to connect diverse stories with readers who actively seek representation, cultural connection, and authentic voices.
