Recommendations: Diverse Romance with BIPOC Representation

Fatuma Hydara

Last time, I shared some random musings about how often diverse romance pairs BIPOC women with white men.

I'm back with recommendations! Whooooo!

Check out these romance titles from Tuma's Books with diverse love interests. How many of these have you read?

I loved Pride by Ibi Zoboi (Black x Black), Let's Talk about Love by Claire Kann (Black x East Asian), You Make a Fool of Death With Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi (African x Caribbean), and A Meeting of Two Prophets by Judah Tasa (Muslim x Jewish). Highly recommend all of them.

The others are all on my TBR list and I'm super excited to read them soon. Especially A Ballad of Love and Glory by Reyna Grande (Mexican x Irish) and On Rotation by Shirlene Obuobi (African x Latinx).

Let's chat about romance books - favorite and least favorite tropes?
